Hotel Des Marquisats - Annecy

The breakfast was absoluteley terrible, not worth the cost. No bacon or eggs, and I had to wait ages for my coffee which they forgot. The soundproofing was clearly an afterthought. I was kept up all night by neighbors. One would think a better room would be standard for the price I paid, but I guess that's just me.

Old building with very nicely redecorated interior. Quiet situation about 1 km outside Annecy center. Public bus leaving for town at 100 meters. Ample free parking. Wifi free.

Tv did only show one channel and sound level.

Good location, nice older building in the woods, with breathtaking view to lake Annecy, 1.5km from the Old City Annecy.

The location of Des Marquisats was fantastic. Only a 20-minute stroll along the lake to reach the old town. The view from my superior double room with balcony was amazing, perfect for morning coffee. It was lovely having a small balcony to enjoy the fresh air. Staff were helpful. The room felt a bit tired and cramped, especially the bathroom with its sloping ceiling. The breakfast lacked variety, and it was a bit disappointing to find no evening dining options. A comfortable spot with some room for enhancements.

Room was comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation. Pleasant 20 minute lakeside walk to the centre of Annecy.

The hotel rooms, both private and public, were attractive and, cleanl; there was good parking, and it was near the city of Annecy for dining (hotel has no dining room except for breakfast), shopping, and sightseeing. The breakfast was good and served in an attractive room.. There was an elevator, making handling of luggage easy. The hotel is just across the street from the lake; the view from our room was of the lake and the mountains on the other side. Being out of the city, it was also quiet and peaceful. .

Our room was small and not easy for senior citizens. The bed was placed in the room in a way that it was very hard to walk from one side of it to the other; this was caused by beams of a stairway that went from that room to an upstairs loft that held two twin-size beds. The room would have been fine for a younger couple with two children. Although there was free use of a computer in the lobby, it had a French keyboard (surely not surprising!), and the hotel clerk could not explain how it worked. (I think he really did not understand, for example, why I could not figure out how to type in an e-mail address when one of the keys represented three different symbols/letters.) But that is a minor complaint.

Positive, The location was lovely, just a short walk into town. We enjoyed cooking our own eggs at breakfast with a lot of tasty options. The lake views from our room were a nice touch, and the room was clean. The warm welcome made us feel at home 😊

Staying at des marquisats exceeded my expectations! The location was fabulous, just a short walk to the old town and away from road noise. The breakfast was a standout, especially being able to cook my own eggs!

We had a fantastic stay here, especially enjoying the awesome massage options and the cozy sun terrace. The kids loved the garden area to play in while we relaxed, which made our visit even more special. Just be aware that breakfast could use a bit of improvement, but it didn’t really take away from our experience. 😊
